How would you describe your fashion?
Timeless and minimal. It hasn’t modified a lot since I used to be a teen, typically I really feel I nonetheless put on my faculty uniform to which I add an edge: a basic wool coat with leather-based pants, or a skirt and patent leather-based Mary Janes. Traditional with a contact of rock.

What’s the oldest factor in your wardrobe?
A Helmut Lang blazer from the ’90s. I obtained it on one in all my first journeys to London with my mum [former Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld]; the Eurostar prepare didn’t even exist but. I nonetheless put on it. It’s outsized and boyish, excellent with somewhat black costume or denims.

And the newest additions?
A Saint Laurent “Saharienne” belted jacket, saggy classic Levi’s to suit my new child bump [Julia is expecting her second child] and Koi Mary Jane platforms. How very Harajuku punk lady of me!

What would you put on …
… on a primary date? My first date with my boyfriend was on a scorching day in NYC. I wore a white denim miniskirt, white T-shirt, gold sandals with a low heel, gold hoops and nearly no make-up – there’s nothing much less enticing than basis stains.
… on a aircraft? Black leggings with my favourite Marc Jacobs grunge-era sweatshirt, biker boots – they’re a ache to take away at safety however I can stroll miles in them – and a pleasant coat to decorate it up; typically I’ll even put on a patent leather-based coat.
… on the pink carpet? I’m normally fairly standard: lengthy or knee-length black costume and black stilettos.

What’s your favourite fashion period?
The ’90s: it’s timeless, minimal and wearable. Most of my fashion icons are from the ’90s: Kate Moss in these CK advertisements, Shirley Manson in her Rubbish movies. It’s cool, it’s rock and it’s not pretentious.

Who’re your favourite designers? The unique Helmut Lang. Alaïa, particularly now with the infant bump: the stretch is ideal, it’s snug and attractive. I additionally love discovering manufacturers akin to Aje which have transitional items I can put on from morning to nighttime.

What’s your perfume of selection?
I wore CK Be by Calvin Klein for years, and then Serge Lutens Fleurs d’Oranger. Now it’s Aurélien by Carine Roitfeld.
